Set up the shop network

Keep every counter, waiter phone and kitchen screen billing together when the internet is down.

Who
Owner or manager sets it up on the main counter PC.
Android & iOS
In the app open the side menu → "Shop network" → "Scan pairing code".

    Pick the main counter#

    Choose one Windows PC that stays on all day, plugged into the shop router by cable if you can. Open BillingBaba on it and press Ctrl+Shift+K.

    Turn it on#

    Under "Shop network" set "This computer is" to "The main counter". If it says the firewall is blocking it, click "Allow on firewall".

    Choose the role#

    In "Next device is used by" pick Cashier, Waiter, Kitchen, Manager or Owner. The role decides what that device may do through the main counter.

    Pair each device#

    Click "Pair a device". Scan the QR code with the phone app, or on another PC set "This computer is" to "A terminal" and type the 6-digit code. Pair one device per code.

    Check the list#

    "Paired devices" shows every device and its role. You can change a role there or remove a lost phone.

Tip: Give the main counter PC a fixed address in your router so phones always find it.
Tip: iPhone: if the main counter is never found, open Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network and turn on BillingBaba.
Tip: Waiters can mark a ticket served only after the kitchen marks it ready. Only owners and managers can take over a bill another device is editing.
Caution: Keep the main counter switched on during service. If it is off, other devices cannot share bills until the internet is back.
